Castleton 1 is a Neolithic and Bronze Age cup and ring marked rock near Stirling, Scotland. People chiselled small cups and broad rings into the stone long before written history, perhaps marking territory, ceremony or memory. The rock still holds those shapes, waiting for hands to trace them and imagine the lives that made them.
Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Castleton 1 as Cup and Ring Marked Rock (neolithic) - (bronze Age). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 1m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.
