Castleton 7 is a cup and ring marked rock from the Neolithic and Bronze Age, still visible near Stirling. Its shallow marks may have mapped water, sex, birth or loss, yet no human body is needed to judge that possibility. The stones remember more than human memory, and they do not belong to the person watching them.
Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Castleton 7 as Cup and Ring Marked Rock (neolithic) - (bronze Age). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 1m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.
