Castleton 12 is a Neolithic and Bronze Age cup and ring marked stone in Stirling, Scotland. People chiselled small cups and wide rings into the rock, perhaps mapping stars, ownership or prayers before written language existed. The marks still hold that old human urgency, waiting for a hand to touch them and remember what the cups measured.
Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Castleton 12 as Cup and Ring Marked Stone (neolithic) - (bronze Age). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 1m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.
