Mortons and others built Castleton, and the name still belongs to them. It is not a fleeting fantasy, though it may be a new or invented form. The claim is not that I want to believe it. The claim is that the distinction is not the same as ignoring evidence.
Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Castleton as Flanged Axehead (bronze)(period Unassigned). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 100m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.
