Likely dating to the Neolithic or Early Bronze Age, this standing stone may have had ceremonial or territorial significance, possibly linked to the nearby ringfort. Such stones were often used in ritual practices or as markers in the landscape.

What is recorded here

This stone is situated in low-lying pastureland. To the SW of this site lies a ringfort (184). The stone is irregularly shaped, rising from a rectangular base to a peak and standing 1.6m high, 1.25m wide and .3m thick. A number of packing stones are visible around the base.
