STANDING STONE in Ballyvennaght

STANDING STONE

What is recorded here

Marianne and the children skipped stones across the water while Joe chugged tea beside the standing stone in Ballyvennaght. The stone had watched the field long before anyone living could remember it, and it still stood when they left.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as STANDING STONE. Recorded period: PREHISTORIC. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
