Castlehill Strip marks an unassigned settlement in South Lanarkshire, preserving a forgotten human presence rather than a dated event. It may have been a small strip of shelters, gardens or temporary work, but the name resists a clear explanation. The surviving fact is that people lived there long enough to leave a mark worth recording.
