Craiglockhart, Castle Greg and Castledykes may mark a Roman road, though the connection remains possible rather than proven. If soldiers or merchants walked that line, they left no name behind, only a faint alignment across South Lanarkshire. The land has changed owners, fields and memories since then. Any human trace has either vanished or been buried under ordinary life.
