Castlehill to Hillhead Connection Road may have been a Roman through-route, though no stone or written proof remains to confirm the claim. If boots did press that lane during the Roman period, they left no mark the modern eye can separate from a country path. The name preserves a boundary between two hills and admits the rest is imagination.
