What is recorded here

Belstane to Castlecary follows a Roman road in South Lanarkshire, Scotland. The line still cuts across land that has changed around it. Men, carts or horses may have worn it flat, while storm water and roots have hidden the edges. The road no longer needs a name to be recognised because the land still answers the shape of its making.
