Rough Hill is a medieval motte and tower house in South Lanarkshire, Scotland. Earth and stone still mark the hill, though the made parts may have broken or buried under grass and time. A family may have stood on that ridge, watched the valley, and disappeared into the ordinary flow of life. The hill keeps what the people stopped repeating.
