Craiglockhart, Castle Greg and Castledykes may mark a lost Roman road, though no stone or trench has been identified to prove it. If the route exists, it would have cut through South Lanarkshire under feet that no longer remember the distance they carried. The names still line the edge of that possibility, waiting for soil, rain or patience to reveal what they hid.
