What is recorded here

Castlehill is an east Inverness residential area stretching beside Cradlehall, marked by Castlehill House, modern homes and a care building rather than a distant ruin. It has layered human life: prehistoric pits and Neolithic fire remain beneath the soil, while tradition credits King Kenneth I with granting the lands to the Cuthbert family in the 950s. Today the old clan name has mostly faded into streets, gardens and everyday services, leaving a place where ancient heat, medieval ownership and contemporary care all share the same ground.

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Castlehill as Non Antiquity (period Unassigned). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 100m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.
