What is recorded here

Glendorch is a medieval tower house in South Lanarkshire, Scotland. Its stones were stripped and rebuilt into a later shepherds cottage, which still stands beside the ruined remains. The castle may have watched the valley for centuries before becoming a shelter for sheep and men, its identity changed but its bones unchanged.

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Glendorch as Castle (medieval), Tower House (medieval). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 1m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.
