What is recorded here

Castle Hill in South Lanarkshire is an unassigned earthwork, a bare ridge of soil and memory rather than a named castle. It is the kind of place where people may have hidden, watched, or simply lived before written history arrived to take credit. The hill keeps its shape because somebody shaped it, and that much still stands even when the name and date are gone.

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Castle Hill as Earthwork (period Unassigned). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 10m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.
