What is recorded here

Castle Hill, Crawford holds a buried field of cairns and a forgotten sheepfold, waiting beneath the grass. The stones may have marked deaths, lived borders or simply gathered flocks, but the exact purpose has slipped away. A person may have walked this hill, pulled wool or watched rain strike old stone, yet no name survives to confirm the gesture. The hill keeps its secrets intact because nobody has forced them into a single answer.

The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 10m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.
