Saugh Hill

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Saugh Hill as Covenanters Meeting Place (17th Century), Nonconformist Meeting House (17th Century). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 100m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

Saugh Hill is associated with the Covenanters, a 17th-century movement in Scotland that resisted religious persecution and advocated for Presbyterianism. The site served as a secret meeting place for nonconformist worshippers during a period of intense religious conflict.
