Culzean Castle is an 18th-century castle in South Ayrshire, Scotland, built for the 10th Earl of Cassillis and designed by Robert Adam. Its rooms face the Firth of Clyde, and its grounds still hold gardens, estate buildings and a castle that can be hired for private events. The Kennedy family gave it to the National Trust for Scotland in 1945, and a top apartment was set aside for Dwight D. Eisenhower, who stayed there several times after the war.
