Priddy Circle is a Neolithic henge on the Mendip plateau, built in the third millennium before Christ, with a Bronze Age barrow cemetery beside it. The circular earthwork, internal ditch and external bank mark a place where ceremony and burial continued across generations. Four hundred metres north of the Castle of Comfort Inn, the monument still stands as a protected focus of ancient life on the plateau.
