Bury Castle is an Iron Age hillfort and later medieval castle near Selworthy, Somerset. It stands on a narrow ridge where the River Exe and River Haddeo meet, with steep drops on three sides and a deep ditch behind. People may have watched water, trade or danger from that height before a castle ever rose there.
