Shane Filan

Shane Filan is a singer born in Sligo, Ireland, on 5 July 1979. He is best known as a lead voice in Westlife, a band that sold fifty-five million records worldwide. Before fame, he worked behind the counter at his parents' Carlton Cafe and attended Summerhill College with future bandmates Kian Egan and Mark Feehily. His mother Mae Filan persistently phoned manager Louis Walsh until the group formed.
