Stradey Castle stands in Llanelli as a Post Medieval mansion built between 1850 and 1855 for David Mansel Lewis. Edward Haycock designed the main house, while John Chessell Buckler added a wing with a turret, billiard room and marble bath during 1873 and 1874. The house has since hosted film crews for Heidi and Doctor Who, yet it remains a private residence where ordinary life still moves through its grand rooms.
