Castle Ely Camp stands in Sir Gaerfyrddin as an Iron Age defended enclosure, its earthworks shaped by hands that understood danger before written law. People may have gathered there to watch roads, trade goods or invading shadows, while children ran between stakes and women judged the strength of every new wall. The camp does not need a king’s name to be real; it keeps the age when ordinary life depended on knowing when to run and when to hold the line.
