What is recorded here
Corfham Castle is a moated medieval house in Shropshire, not a fighting fortress, because its wide water channels served display rather than defence. The earthworks still hold traces of stone walls, round towers and a bailey, while dry moats circle a low ridge between the River Corve and Pye Brook. Its shape suggests pride, visibility and domestic ambition more than battlefield fear.
Corfham Castle is shown as a archaeological place on the public map of Shropshire. The saved point is the map point or the centre of its mapped shape.
