Cattapund Knowe

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Cattapund Knowe as Cairnfield (period Unassigned). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 1m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

Cattapund Knowe is a Neolithic cairnfield, dating to the early to middle Holocene period. Its significance lies in providing evidence of prehistoric land use and ritual activity in the landscape, typical of Neolithic settlement patterns in northern Britain.
