What is recorded here

Indicated is an oval ecclesiastical enclosure in County Galway, measuring 140 metres east-west and 104 metres north-south. It stands in level grassland above southern marsh, marked by a bank, a partial south-west fosse and a later field wall. A nearby burial ground suggests the site sustained worship and death together for generations. The quiet shape still holds that dual purpose, framing life and loss beneath the same open sky.

In level grassland overlooking marshy land to S. Oval enclosure (E-W 140m, N-S 104m), in fair condition, defined by a bank and external fosse; the latter is present only at SW. A field wall overlies to bank from E through S to NW. Gaps at NE and W appear modern. A burial ground (GA044-090002-) is associated.
