Lismareada stood beside the Weaver's stream in County Kerry, a circular fairy fort offering unbroken views across the land until heavy machines erased it during the 1960s. The name suggests Mairéada, yet no human biography survives to explain why the enclosure belonged to her or what she tended within its rim. Its sudden disappearance feels like a local injustice, as if progress swallowed a witness that could have testified about the shape of the valley and the lives led inside it.

Lismareada/Lios Mhairéada: A circular enclosure is marked at this location on both editions of the OS maps. It was levelled in the 1960s during land improvement operations.
