Woodhouse Hill is a medieval tower house in the Scottish Borders, built when local power still wore stone instead of cloth. It stands on open ground, not hidden in town or burgh, which means it was made to be seen and feared at a distance. The hill itself did the guarding; the tower simply gave the hill a voice.

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Woodhouse Hill as Tower House (medieval). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 10m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.
