Abessinia

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Abessinia as Steamship (period Unassigned)-(1921). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 1m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

The *Abessinia* was a steamship built in 1869 in Glasgow and wrecked in 1921 off the Scottish coast. It was carrying a general cargo and no loss of life was reported; its wreck is noted for its historical value as a well-preserved example of 19th-century steamship construction.
