Fast Castle is a ruined coastal fortress in Berwickshire, rebuilt by 1522 for George Home, 4th Lord Home, after chaos destroyed the earlier site. Cliffs up to 45 metres high and a drawbridge over a narrow ravine made the small courtyard hard to seize, yet English and Scottish forces took it in turn during border wars. A cave at the cliff foot may have given inhabitants a hidden sea route, while a cannon ball and coin still lie within the findspot, waiting for the story of the hands that dropped them.

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Fast Castle as Findspot (period Unassigned), Animal Remains (period Unassigned), Cannon Ball (period Unassigned), Coin (period Unassigned). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 1m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.
