What is recorded here

Newcastleton is a modern tile works site recorded in Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment. It sits within the Scottish Borders, where Liddesdale and the Border Reivers shaped local memory through centuries of raiding, farming and clan life. The valley still carries that history in its hills, villages and traditions, even though the tile works belongs to a later industrial age.

The historic-place record does not grant public access. Check current conditions and ownership before entering land or a building.
