What is recorded here

Lustruther may have stood as a medieval tower house in the Scottish Borders, though no certain account survives to confirm the claim. If stone walls once rose there, they have vanished or sunk beneath grass and memory. The name remains only as a marker on a map, pointing to an absent building and a forgotten life.
Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Lustruther as Tower House (medieval)(possible). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 10m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

The historic-place record does not grant public access. Check current conditions and ownership before entering land or a building.
