Kaeside still holds a possible fort in the Scottish Borders, though no date or name has emerged to claim it. The land may have waited through centuries for someone to draw its lines or remember its purpose. What is certain is that the ground kept a shape worthy of strength, and human hands may have given that shape a name now lost.
