What is recorded here

Terraced two-bay two-storey house, built c.1750, now in use as restaurant, with recent timber shopfront to front (north) elevation. Pitched slate roof projecting eaves course, red brick chimneystack and cast-iron rainwater goods. Lined-and-ruled rendered walls. Square-headed window openings with stone sills and uPVC casement windows. Square-headed door opening providing access to upper floors with timber panelled door. Timber shopfront comprising panelled pilasters surmounted by fascia and moulded cornice. Square-headed window opening having fixed timber-framed display window over rendered stall riser with recessed panel. Square-headed door opening having timber battened door.
One of a terrace of four which is notable for its two-storey scale that contrasts with the larger flanking three-storey buildings. Its steeply pitched roof suggests an early construction date, and together with the lined-and-ruled rendered walls and substantial eaves course, add historic character to both building and streetscape.
