What is recorded here

In pasture 190m W of a watercourse that marks the townland boundary with Ballintober. Not depicted on the 1840 ed. OSi 6-inch map. It is shown on the 1897 ed. OSi 25-inch map as a circular-shaped hollow (diam. c. 10m) enclosed by field boundary walls from SE-W-NE. Visible as a circular-shaped area overgrown with trees on Digital Globe orthoimage taken between 2011-13 and on Google Earth orthoimages. May be the remains of a post-1700 quarry.
