RATH in Rickamore

RATH

What is recorded here

Mortons Farley 1829-30 shows a tall mansion with a central tower, twin projecting wings, and a long front entrance. Robbie and his family lived there from 1833 until the house burned in 1862. They left behind a place where human life had already repeated itself: building, staying, losing, and being remembered.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as RATH. Recorded period: UNCERTAIN. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
