Richmond Ho stands in flat Tipperary pasture, its ruined walls holding a medieval drip-stone reused as a kitchen slop-trough. The house may have been built from the rubble of an older fortified residence, layering one defence onto another across centuries. It is a small, clever place where forgotten stone keeps doing useful work long after the hands that shaped it have gone.

Situated on flat pasture with good views in all directions. Present remains consist of the ruins of a late eighteenth-century house possibly built from the rubble of a late medieval house. A late medieval drip-stone from a wall-walk has been reused as a slop-stone in the kitchen of the eighteenth-century house.
