GRAVEYARD in Relagh

GRAVEYARD

What is recorded here

Relagh still keeps its dead beneath Fermanagh soil, though no date or name has survived to mark the exact years. The graveyard stands as a formal record rather than a named legend, leaving the buried lives and forgotten rites to imagination. Stones may have crumbled or never risen at all, but the act of returning bodies to that ground remains certain. Forgetting the names does not erase the love that first dug the holes.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as GRAVEYARD. Recorded period: UNCERTAIN. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
