What is recorded here

Castle Keep stands in Reigate and Banstead as a reminder that medieval towers were instruments of power as much as defense. Stone keeps emerged across England after the Norman Conquest, combining residence, administration and last-resort strength within one massive structure. Whether local builders raised timber first or went straight to stone, the result was a tower designed to be seen, entered reluctantly and remembered long after its owners faded.
Castle Keep is shown as a castle on the public map of Reigate and Banstead. The saved point is the map point or the centre of its mapped shape.
