What is recorded here

Indicated is a fairy fort on the cliff edge in County Cork, its earthen bank breaking twice to admit what the living world refuses to see. The circle measures twenty-six metres across, narrow enough that a person walking inside cannot lose the shape of the place. It is also a burial ground, which means the dead have been circling the cliff for longer than memory.

In level pasture, on cliff edge. Circular area (26m N-S; 26.7m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (H 1.2m) W->S; external fosse (D 0.8m) W->E. Break in bank to E (Wth 2m) and NNW (Wth 2m). Interior truncated by cliff edge to SW; used as burial ground (CO143-084002-). The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
