No record of the column or base remains, only the octagonal basin with its chamfered underside, displaced onto the south window sill of the medieval church in County Kerry. The font was built for repeated use, yet it survived without its support, reduced to a loose stone resting where water once gathered for ceremony. Its shape still fits human hands and church ritual, even though the place that gave it meaning has vanished.
