RATH: TANDRAGEE FORT in Drumcovit

RATH: TANDRAGEE FORT

What is recorded here

Tandragee Fort stands in Drumcovit, County Derry, an early Christian rath still marked on official maps. Its earthworks have watched the land since before written records, surviving every claim to erase them. The fort does not need a date to be real. It is real because it is still standing, still named, and still remembered in the shape of the ground itself.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as RATH: TANDRAGEE FORT. Recorded period: E.CHRIST.. Recorded protection: Scheduled. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
