What is recorded here
One or two rath marks the ground in Imdel, County Down, perhaps a pair rather than a solitary hole. That much is known. The rest belongs to imagination: a boundary, a trap, a child's game, a forgotten road joint. Any of those could have shaped the marks before measurement reduced them to a point.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as RATH (may be one of a pair with 041:031). Recorded period: E.CHRIST.. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.
The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
