A hachured feature marked on the 1930 edition of the OS 6-inch map, and named 'Gravel Pit (Disused) on the OS 25-inch plan, was defined by a subcircular pit that was overgrown with bushes and trees when inspected in 1984. Probably of 19th/20th century date.
