What is recorded here
On a hill in generally flat wet land. No visible surface trace survived of a hachured feature marked on the 1947 revision of the OS 6-inch map, and named 'Gravel Pit (Disused)' on the OS 25-inch plan, when inspected in 1983. As it is of post-AD 1700 date it does not come within the remit of the Archaeological Survey of Ireland.
