Castle Nimble is a low, oval motte and semi-rectangular bailey near Old Radnor in Powys, Wales, perhaps built by Philip de Braose or Harold Godwinson after 1063. Its shallow mound and ditched marshy setting suggest water helped defend the site, while a larger southern enclosure may have held a pond. The name Nimble fits the place because so little remains visible that imagination must move quickly to picture life inside it.
