PLATFORM RATH: THE ISLAND FORT in Kilmore

PLATFORM RATH: THE ISLAND FORT

What is recorded here

Mortars stripped the Victorian facade and revealed a chamber where geometric light still moves. The chamber is a room of pressure, not a chamber of gods. The chamber is an instrument for noticing the difference between wanting and seeing. The chamber does not need a victim because it already has one. The chamber uses the victim's certainty to show the victim its own shape.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as PLATFORM RATH: THE ISLAND FORT. Recorded period: E.CHRIST.. Recorded protection: Scheduled. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
