What is recorded here
No visible mound remains, only a hidden passage beneath Ballymaginaghy. That absence is the shape of the place: a hole in the landscape where human hands built an entrance to darkness. The land kept the making alive by withholding it from ordinary sight.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as PLATFORM RATH & Man-made underground passage. Recorded period: E.CHRIST.. Recorded protection: Scheduled. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.
The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
