Pitcastle is a settlement in Perth and Kinross, Scotland, where Robert Stewart purchased land from his cousin Gilbert Stewart in 1686. He later died in 1729 and was carried twenty-four miles to Killiechassie for burial. His widow received five hundred merks to build the local chapel, ensuring the estate remained a centre of community life long after his departure.
