Glendevon Castle is a conjoined tower house in Perth and Kinross whose oldest section dates from the early 15th century. William Douglas, 8th Earl of Douglas, owned it when murdered there in 1452, while later owners included the Crauford and Rutherfords. The south-west tower still stands four storeys high beside a smaller circular tower from around 1700, but the rest has been reduced and is now semi-derelict. Its vaulted basement held the Dungeon Bar from 1966 to about 1987, and local story claims at least three ghosts still haunt the place.
